North Face of Hood

This photo excursion seemed cursed -- I blew a tire on the jeep on the road up, and Hood was shrouded in mist when I got to this spot. But I set up the tripod anyway, and within a few minutes, the wind chased the mist up the valley, and there she was, big as the world.

Hell Freezes Over: I Have a Book

After 18 months of shamelessly using this space to shill my book proposal on game theory and social media for the 120 or so people who managed to stumble across this blog, I can now switch to shamelessly shilling my book, because there is one.

In a twist of fate comparable to the ending of an M. Night Shyamalan movie, one of the 120 or so people to visit this blog was a very nice book editor from a very nice academic publisher, Springer, and the good people at Springer are actually pretty enthusiastic about game theory, having published a few titles in that arena, though mine is probably the only one to go on at length about Skittles. They let me do that. Like I said, very nice people.

So let the shilling begin. It's available for purchase on Amazon and on the Springer website, and if I could in any way explain the exorbitant cost of academic titles, I would passionately do so forthwith, but I cannot. My own cut is just enough for me to get the Deluxe carwash (the one with the undercarriage scrub) from time to time.
